Born in Vienna, Austria Sophie has been encouraged by her mother a porcelain painter and her grandmother an enamel artist to craft with her hands from early childhood.

In 1990 Sophie moved to London where she studied Art History and received a BA in Interior/Film Design from Kingston University. Her traveling has taken her around the world through Europe, India, Nepal, Asia, Indonesia, Australia, South America, and ultimately the United States where she found her new home in Los Angeles.

In the last 18 years Sophie has held every position in the art department, working on over 100 commercials and over 50 music videos and 9 feature films in America, and abroad.  Sophie is known for coming up with innovative solutions that amaze her directors, production designers and pleases her producers. Her strong sense of style, aesthetics, management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively have contributed to her success. Sophie is a member of IATSE 44.

Traveling and living around the world has opened up her eyes to the multitude of cultures, their colorful expressions and the infinite creative freedoms found everywhere. Sophie has a passion and talent for creating and telling stories – catching reality and realizing fantasies.
